Concerned about International Affairs

Claudia is an Independent and spoke with Ann about how she likes Trump's immigration policies, but she doesn't like how he talks. She is concerned about the pardon of the former Honduran President, as well as the attacks on Venezuelan boats. She said she was going to start paying more attention to what Trump says and does.

Becoming More Engaged

Ann had a really encouraging conversation with someone that didn't feel that voting really had any impact and only votes sporadically. He has a couple of relatives that have lost their jobs or are worried about losing their jobs. By the end of the conversation, he said he would certainly consier voting in the primary and even more so in the midterms.

Kathryn told us that she doesn’t have anyone close to her or her husband that has been directly affected by the administration, but she feels that the entire country is suffering. She is upset about the policies that the Trump administration is putting in place and wonders why the people in power not being held accountable.

Doing Her Homework

A young mom with a 10-year-old said she always voted, but she isn't going to vote anymore. She told us that her parents and grandparents guided her to vote for Trump, but she doesn't like him anymore. After we talked about congress, she said she'd do her homework and vote for congress in November.

Voting for her Mom

A 39 year-old mother only ever votes for president but after talking to us said she would be more likely to vote for congress in November. She said in the past that she would just "guess" who to vote for, but she was really worried about her mom who has health problems. She would think about voting for her mom.

Rose and Trudy spoke with an 18 year-old who started as about 50% likely to vote, but by the end of their conversation, he said he would definitely be voting. He said he would turn his back on Trump and vote for a congressman who would help stop Trump.

By the end of the conversation, he said he would do his research and would "definitely vote". He said people are losing SNAP and healthcare while DJT gets richer.

It changes the entire organizational structure of her hospital, and in a few years, she expects rural hospitals to close because of it.
