Steve talked with Ken and Darius about how 2024 was his first vote, and he is in his 50s. He is angry about Trump, but he doesn't feel that he knows enough about the candidates on the other side.

Liam told us about his grandfather, who fled fascists in Yugoslavia, so his family is currently worried about this moment through that same lens.

Dulce told us about how her 9 and 11-year-old kids are seeing a lot of their fellow students stay home because they are afraid of ICE. She is aware that those families are afraid that the parents will be taken, especially since ICE has been at their school. Leonor has voted only once in her life in 2020. She called Trump the "antichrist" and told us that her whole family will vote this year.

Carlos has many immigrant family members and friends, including one who is currently detained - whereabouts unknown. He appreciates that he can talk to his coworker at the car wash, who is dealing with the same fears and feelings.

I have a couple of disabled kids, and I am really worried about them. I am a childcare provider, and my clients are really struggling. I also have a daughter in the military, and I am worried about what trouble she might get sent to.

Matt and Risa spoke with a couple that shared how strong the fear is within the Hispanic community and that people aren't even going to the hospital when they need to for fear of an ICE encounter.

Maura is not happy with Trump and DC politics. She shared that she was about 70% likely to vote. She is very worried about prices, healthcare, guns, and the 2026 elections. By the end of our conversation, her interest picked up, and she was shared that she was now 100% likely to vote.
